Judges are public servants and our community is best
served if those positions are filled by individuals who
can balance hard work, compassion, integrity and
wisdom in upholding the laws of the State of
Washington.
I have the qualifications, experience and desire to fulfill
the responsibilities of this position. I have a strong
background in criminal justice and believe in making
balanced and careful decisions that will impact public
safety. While on the Parole Board I made decisions
regarding detention/release of some of the most
dangerous offenders in our system. As a sitting Judge
pro tem and Commissioner I routinely make decisions
that will impact the public and the safety of our
community.
I began my judicial training in 1998 and served as a pro
tem Judge over 1000 days before my recent
appointment. My reputation for fairness, judicial
demeanor and knowledge of the laws of King County
and Washington State led to my appointment in July
2008 as a Juvenile Court Commissioner. I consider this
an honor as the Judges made this appointment during
my campaign for Superior Court Judge and with the
knowledge that they may be appointing a new
commissioner in just a few months. I am continuing with
my campaign for Superior Court Judge as I believe my
skills and experience would be utilized to their fullest
extent in this position.
It is my hope that you, as voters in our community, will
allow me to be your voice for public safety on the King
County Superior Court.
